Emergency Interpreting for Nemo in Massachusetts

February 14th, 2013

This video explains why Fox 25/Boston’s Doug VB Goudie promoted violence against Deaf people with his mockery of the sign language interpreter provided during MA Governor Deval Patrick’s Press Conference. VB’s dismissive attitude toward communication access for the Deaf could be considered hate speech. The effects of VB’s negative words could lead to Deaf people not being provided appropriate public warning and therefore finding themselves at risk of injury or death.
