Anna Rita Napoleone

Anna Rita Napoleone is a PhD Candidate in Rhetoric and Composition - English - at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. She has a Master’s Degree in English from Long Island University Brooklyn Campus and a Bachelor’s Degree in Media/Communication from Hunter College City University of New York.  Her research deals with social class- specifically working-class discourse, gender, performativity, and affect.   She has co-authored an article, “Teachers with(out) Class: Transgressing Academic Social Space through Working-Class Performances.”  She has presented at conferences such as Conference on  College Composition and Communication, International Writing Centers Association and others.
